Welcome to Illumination Dance!
Classes Begin 9/29!
General Info
Parents, please discuss these rules with your dancers prior to class to help ensure a smooth and successful classroom experience. Thank you!
Food & Drinks: Water is the only beverage allowed in our classrooms. Food and drinks should not be brought into the studio unless you have a dinner break between multiple classes. If this pertains to you, all food and drinks MUST remain out in the lobby area and you are responsible for cleaning up after yourself. PLEASE be responsible and respectful of our new studio space and help us keep it beautiful and clean!
Drop off / Pickup: Dancers 7 & under should be walked inside by a parent/guardian. Dancers 9 & under must be picked up inside by a parent/guardian. A staff member will be at the front door to assist dancers being dropped off & picked up. Older dancers (with parent permission) may enter/exit on their own. Our lobby is smaller now, so please limit extra family members inside and try to enter closer to class time to help reduce congestion. Should this policy change once the season gets started, we will communicate that accordingly.
Please make an effort to be prompt! *We cannot be responsible for your child after class.*
PRE-SCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN GUARDIANS – Please take your dancer to the restroom before class begins to avoid accidents. :-)
Please stop and check in with the front desk staff member upon arrival. When teachers are ready for their classes to enter, the front desk staff will let you know.
Please keep an eye on your children, and help us keep everyone safe by keeping them or siblings from running or climbing on furniture, etc.
No cell phones are permitted once classes have begun. Please turn off cell phones before entering the class. Should a parent need to be contacted, this will be handled by our front desk staff.
No GUM allowed in the studio.
Please write your child's name or initials in all dance shoes.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items at the studio. Please check the lost & found bin for items. All items not claimed are donated to charity monthly.
No outside street shoes are permitted on our classroom floors.
Class Observation: After the 1st two weeks of the season, we do not allow parents, friends, or siblings in the classroom at anytime unless your teacher invites you in. This allows our students to completely focus on learning and for our staff to deliver the best quality class for your children. We can assure you that your children are in great hands!
Our lobby space is now smaller, so seating is very limited. We encourage families to drop dancers off and return at pickup time to help reduce congestion in the studio.
Later in the season, we will host special Parent Observation Days so you can see all the progress your dancer has made. With our new 3-room setup, we are still finalizing the best way to organize this, and we will share details with you as the season goes on.
Requirements (attire, hair, shoes) will vary depending on the class your child is enrolled in. Hair should be pulled back off face for all classes. A bun must be worn for ballet class. Please refer to the Class Requirements page for more details.
