Toes & Tumbles, Acro & Hip Hop
Cami has been dancing since she was 8 years old. At the age of 10, she auditioned for Cab Calloway School of the Arts where she spent both middle school and high school as a dance major. At Cab Calloway, Cami was trained in ballet, modern, and jazz. She also danced outside of school where she was trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and acro. Along with taking classes, Cami assistant-taught with the younger age groups and with the competition team. Cami was also a competitive cheerleader throughout high school and into her first year of college. During college, she taught gymnastics, dance, and ran summer camps at the Little Gym. It was there, Cami discovered her love for teaching children.
Cami recently graduated from the University of Delaware as a Human Services major with a focus on Human Trafficking. She is passionate about advocating for victims of exploitation and recently returned home from a seven-month internship working with a human trafficking non-profit in Thailand.
Cami is so excited to get to join the Illumination team! Through the influence of many different teachers during her time as a dancer, she realized the importance of creating a positive and encouraging environment for dancers. She is dedicated to creating a space for her students to express themselves, have fun, and grow as a dancer while becoming confident in themselves and their ability.
